DESCRIPTION:As promised\, please find below further information on the Western District’s invitation to ring at Truro Cathedral on Monday 4th August \n  \nWe will place every band so it is important that we  are aware of numbers attending and the ringing ability of those attending in advance please. \nI’d therefore be grateful if you could let me have the names of attendees and an indication of their skills (ie\, a learner\, improver\, pro! and if confident (or not) in rounds\, call changes\, plain hunt) as soon as possible\, and by the 28th July at the latest please – with thanks. Claire   wdsec@tdgr.org.uk \n  \nSome information for on the night: \nPlease arrive at 1915/1920 and enter the Cathedral via the ramped entrance (not the Crypt door as before); the ramped entrance is to the left of the West door when standing in High Cross. \nRinging will commence at 1930 prompt\, continuing to 2100. \nThere is limited parking within the Cathedral car park; this is available on a first come\, first served basis – if using\, please ensure your vehicle registration number is entered on the sign in sheet at the entrance door (to avoid receiving a penalty charge notice); we will enter registrations into the car parking system during the course of the evening – it is not possible to do this in advance or retrospectively. \nAlternatively the Old Bridge Street pay and display car park is only a short walking distance away. \nPlease could all attendees read the  Truro Cathedral Volunteer Agreement \nand the Cathedral safeguarding document: \nhttps://www.trurocathedral.org.uk/safeguarding \nbefore the night. \n

SUMMARY:CCCBR National Call Change Competition
DESCRIPTION:Preparations are underway for the 2025 National Call Change Competition which this year is going to be held on Saturday 7th June at Coaley\, in the Stroud Valleys. The venue was put forward by Ian Bucknell\, and his daughter Sarah has already put a huge amount of effort into local\narrangements. I went for a test peal last year and the bells will provide a little bit more of a challenge that the two previous venues. Facilities will be excellent\, and there will be other towers arranged to complete the day. A formal invitation to enter will be issued by the end of January when the website is ready. Expressions of interest welcome at this stage to: simon.linford@cccbr.org.uk so that we know whether or not having too many teams is going to be a problem.

DESCRIPTION:Western District Practice\nTuesday 27th May 2025\n7.30 pm\nPhillack\n  \nWe will be joining their practice night\nRounds\, Call Changes\, Plain Hunt\, Method\nTo suit whoever comes.\nAims of the practice –  to have fun\, to enjoy each other’s company over refreshments & maybe even improve our ringing.\nCome and join us\, everyone welcome.\nThis is the first of our district practices\, going to different towers around the district.\nInitially\, we will be joining a tower’s practice night so they will be on different nights of the week.\nPlease bring £1 per rope as a donation for the tower.\nPlease access the church through the south porch.\nWe have been given permission by the pub (The Bucket of Blood) to use their car park\nThey are shut on a Tuesday Night.\n(about 50 yds past the church)\n  \nPlease notify Claire  wdsec@tdgr.org.uk if you intend to come for numbers for refreshments
