Benefits of Guild membership

Current TDGR rules can be found here – https://tdgr.org.uk/guild/rules/

Why become a member:

  • We organise District and whole Guild events for ringers to get together ring at different towers and socialise
  • We run our own courses for ringers such as bell maintenance, calling changes or introduction to method ringing and other subjects on request
  • We can provide subsidies to ringers who wish to attend courses or wish to train to become teachers and we support young ringers who wish to attend the annual youth ringing competition
  • Through the Bell Restoration Fund we help churches undertake repair and renovation of the bells in their towers
  • We consider financial support for the installation of training bells and other educational material
  • We maintain a library in Truro which is available for loan and research
  • The Guild owns banners and display materials for the use of towers for recruitment and open days
  • Provide a Guild report of the previous year with up-to-date contact information
  • Members are covered by personal accident cover
  • It’s cheaper than any other club – for £10 per year (that’s 83p per month, 20p per week), you get social contact, exercise and brain training
