Workshop: Applying for grants and funding

Our Very own Bell Restoration Officer has bucket loads of experience to share within this workshop which will form part of the TDGR Ringing Festival Day.

“In 2018 we decided to rehang the bells at St Andrew’s Church, Calstock. The project started with an estimated price tag of £46,000 and there was about £8,000 in the bell fund.
The issue of how to raise the rest of the money was the corner stone of the project. I knew nothing about fundraising, which I am sure was obvious in many of my early grant applications but getting the application right is of paramount importance. This talk is designed to give some ideas about how to fundraise for any project and how to prepare a good grant application.”
