Phil Tremain writes:- I regret to share the news of two ringers who have died recently.
Mary Turfitt rang with us here at St Columb Major, having returned to ringing when she retired after learning as a teenager at St Mary’s Penzance. A Thanksgiving Service for Mary will be held at St Columb Major church at 3pm on Thursday 24th July.
Mike Roberts lived and rang at Lanreath, but also at Lansallos where he was a member of the once almost invincible competition band. Mike’s funeral will be at 2:30pm on Wednesday 23rd July at Bodmin Crematorium.
